Trip Coordinator Incentive/Drawing

WVWA has instituted a new incentive for all club members who volunteer to coordinate an "official club trip" this year. The rules are simple:

• You must be a WVWA member who has paid your dues for 2011.
• You must sign up (prior to the trip) with the cruise chair to coordinate a trip.
• You (or someone else designated by you) must submit a trip report to the Splashes editor after the trip.
• Trips posted for the Coal River and Elk River groups are not eligible.

It's really easy to volunteer to coordinate a trip. Just click here or view the WVWA online calendar and click on the link in the box near the top of the calendar. Fill out the form and click on the button at the bottom of the form to send the infomation to the WVWA Cruise Chair.

A history of "official" club trips posted on the club calendar will be maintained. For each trip that meets all of the above requirements, the name of the trip coordinator will be entered into a year end drawing for cash prizes.

• The trip coordinator's name will be entered in the drawing for each trip. The more trips you volunteer for, the better your changes are for winning one of the year-end prizes.
• Each day a trip is lead on the river is counted as a separate drawing entry (i.e, the trip coordinator's name will be entered twice for a 2-day trip).

The WVWA Cruise Chair will pull the information from the calendar in December and put all the trip coordinators' names in a hat for prize drawings.

The prizes to be awarded were discussed at the February club meeting. We thought of gift certificates to local or online outfitters, cash cards, donated items from vendors, etc. If you have any thoughts about the drawing and/or prizes, please contact the WVWA president or WVWA Cruise Chair.
